A big revelation has come to light regarding education and degrees in the country. UGC has declared 32 institutions across the country as fake. It has been said by UGC that the degree obtained from these institutions will neither be valid for job nor will it be useful in further studies.
The Commission says that these fake universities have neither received recognition from the Central Government nor from any State Government. In such a situation, the time, money and hard work of the students studying here may go waste. Many times students unknowingly take admission in such institutions and later have to suffer losses due to this. Let us know how you can avoid the illusion of fake universities.
How can we protect ourselves?
If you want to do a degree course, then first go to the official website of UGC and search the name of that university. If you want to do engineering or technical course, then check the website of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Please visit the website of National Medical Commission (NMC) for medical college, Bar Council of India (BCI) for law college, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) for pharmacy and National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for B.Ed course.
Every recognized college or university has an approval order or affiliation letter. You can check it on the website of the institute or ask for it directly from the college. Along with this, read the college prospectus carefully. The rules, number of seats and admission process are clearly written in it. NAAC grade is given to check the quality of educational institutions in the country. Be sure to check the NAAC grade or AISHE code of any college or university. This will give you an idea of the education and level of education of that institute.
Errors in website and papers
If there are many language mistakes in the website or documents of any institution, the information seems incomplete or the documents look fake, then it is a danger sign. Genuine institutions keep their documents clean, correct and with complete information.
