Mistake in UP board exam, opening of March 12 paper 20 days earlier created panic

A very shocking incident has come to light amid the ongoing board examinations in Uttar Pradesh. In the intermediate examination of UP Board, great negligence has been exposed at an examination center in Azamgarh district. The examination for Intermediate Sanskrit subject is to be held on March 12, but the question paper was opened about 20 days before that. As soon as this matter came to light, there was a stir in the education department.

This serious case is being reported from Maa Sharda Inter College, Singhpur Saraiya located in Palhana area of ​​Azamgarh district. According to the information, the intermediate Sanskrit question paper was opened at the center on Friday. Not only this, after this a report was also sent by the center that no student appeared in the examination. As soon as this report was received, the officials became suspicious and started investigating the entire matter.

After receiving the suspicious report from the examination centre, UP Board’s Varanasi regional office secretary Vinod Rai, Assistant Education Director Naval Kishore and in-charge District School Inspector Manoj Kumar immediately reached the examination centre. Officials reached the spot, checked the documents and interrogated the employees of the centre.

What was found in the preliminary investigation

Preliminary investigation revealed that the center administrator, static magistrate and external center administrator did not follow the rules properly. The officials clearly said that opening the question paper before the scheduled date is a serious violation of the examination rules. This not only harms the confidentiality of the examination but also raises questions on the entire system.

During the investigation, the officials re-sealed the open question paper and kept it safe. Also, the report of the entire case is being prepared. Joint Education Director Naval Kishore called it a very serious matter and said that strict action will be taken against the culprits. The report is being sent to higher officials so that further decisions can be taken.

Questions raised on examination system

After this incident, questions have been raised on the security arrangements and monitoring of the examination. UP Board makes strict rules every year to prevent cheating and irregularities, but such negligence harms the image of the board. Concern has also increased among parents and students.

Five solvers caught, FIR registered

Meanwhile, incidents related to cheating have also come to light during the UP Board exams. A total of five solvers were caught in different districts on Friday. An FIR has been registered against all of them under the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act 2024. The officials have made it clear that no leniency will be shown against those who copy.
