Suddenly excessive hair starts falling, this disease may be hidden in the body

Nowadays hair fall has become a common problem. It is generally believed that falling of 50 to 100 hairs daily is normal. Falling of 50-60 hairs out of thousands of hairs is not a problem, but when suddenly hair starts falling excessively then it is not right to ignore it. There are some people whose hair falls in bunches, when combed, a thick part of the hair comes in the hand and the hair disappears from the head. Many people ignore it considering it to be just the effect of weather, lack of hair care or stress, but sometimes it can also be a sign of some serious disease hidden in the body, hence it is very important to understand its cause in time.

What is the reason for hair breakage?

It is true that good health, proper eating habits and exercise are very important for good hair. However, sometimes some disease starts making its home in our body, due to which hair starts falling and we also start feeling pain and weakness in the body. There may be some major disease behind these minor symptoms, which many people usually ignore.

Thyroid problem may be the reason

Nowadays thyroid has become a common disease. Thyroid disease is seen in most of the people whether it is male or female. Let us tell you that thyroid is a butterfly-like gland on the front of the neck which helps in controlling the metabolism of the body, when there is a disturbance in it, it also affects the hair. In both hypothyroid or hyperthyroid conditions, hair starts falling rapidly and becomes weak.

alopecia areata

This is a condition in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the hair roots, resulting in sudden hair fall. In this disease, baldness appears like round patches on the scalp. In Alopecia Areata, it cannot be said with any certainty that the hair will fall completely or will come back again, it depends on the body because the hair can come back at any time after falling or can fall again after coming back.

anemia (blood deficiency)

Anemia, especially iron deficiency, is one of the major causes of hair loss. Due to low level of hemoglobin in the blood, oxygen and nutrients do not reach the hair roots properly. Also, when there is iron deficiency in the body, instead of nourishing the hair, the body spends it in protecting vital organs like heart and liver. This disrupts the hair growth cycle, causing hair to fall and break before completing its growth phase. This problem is seen more especially in women.
