Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP) has released a big update for lakhs of students preparing for the UP Board 10th and 12th class examinations. The Council has uploaded subject-wise model papers of both the classes, with the help of which students will be able to make their examination preparation easier, safer and better than before. These model papers are available on the official website upmsp.edu.in, from where any student can download them without any hassle.
Nowadays the pattern of examination is constantly changing, in such a situation model papers work to show direction to the students. By solving these, students are able to understand what kind of questions can be asked in the exam and which chapters need more attention.
Pattern of questions of class 10th changed
UP Board has divided the 10th class paper into two parts, so that the level of questions remains clear and balanced.
Part ‘A’
- There will be a total of 20 multiple choice questions (MCQs) in this part.
- Every question will be of 1 mark.
- Students will have to fill the answers to these questions on the OMR sheet with blue or black ballpoint pen.
- The special thing is that rubber or whitener should not be used at all, otherwise the OMR sheet may get damaged.
Part ‘B’
- There will be descriptive questions in this.
- This part of total 50 marks is made up of short, very short and long questions.
- It will also be clearly written before each question as to how many small sub-questions are included in it.
- Students will be given 3 hours 15 minutes to solve the paper, that is, time is enough, just practice is needed.
Model paper also released for class 12th
Class 12th students can also now track their preparation. UPMSP has released the model papers for all three streams of Intermediate (12th) – Science, Commerce and Humanities for the session 2025-26.
Students who are going to appear for board exams in 2026 can visit the website and download subject wise model papers. This will give them an idea of which type of questions are more likely to come from which unit and what will be the total pattern of the paper.
