The final result of Civil Services Examination 2025, one of the biggest examinations of the country, can be released any time now. UPSC can declare the result this week. Candidates who have completed all three stages of Prelims, Mains and Interview will be able to check their results by visiting the official website upsc.gov.in. Candidates have been waiting for the final list for a long time. Now the interview process has also been completed, so it is believed that the Commission will release the merit list soon.
Civil Services Examination is conducted in three stages. First the prelims exam was held on 25 May 2025. The candidates who passed this got a chance to appear in the Mains examination. The Mains examination was held in August 2025. After this, the successful candidates in Mains were called for personality test i.e. interview. The interview process ran from late 2025 to early 2026. Now all three phases have been completed and the final result is yet to be released.
After the names appear in the final list, the candidates will be given service and cadre according to their rank. After this the training process will begin. IAS officers are trained at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie, while IPS officers are trained in Hyderabad and IFS officers are trained in separate institutes. Officers assume their responsibilities only after completion of training.

In which services will you get a chance?
The candidates whose names will appear in the final result will be appointed to the prestigious services of the country.
- Indian Administrative Service (IAS)
- Indian Police Service (IPS)
- Indian Foreign Service (IFS)
- Indian Revenue Service (IRS)
- Indian Trade Service (ITS)
Apart from this, selection will also be made in other Group A and Group B services. The final merit list is prepared on the basis of total marks of the candidates, in which the marks of Mains and Interview are added.
What will be in the merit list?
The result will be released in the form of a PDF file. In this, the names and roll numbers of the selected candidates will be given. Along with this, their rank will also be given. Service and cadre allotment is done on the basis of rank. Candidates with better rank have more chances of getting their preferred service.
