Description

Feed Monster is one of those games that takes a simple idea—run around a maze eating things—and runs with it, but there’s something weirdly sticky about the way it plays. Basically you guide your little character through winding halls, gobbling up glowing dots scattered everywhere. The sense of urgency ramps up as monsters start lurking closer, so you’ll have to weave and double back if you want to last longer than a minute or two. Grabbing an energizer turns the tables, letting you actually chase down your pursuers for bonus points. There’s a definite Pac-Man inspiration (you can’t really ignore that), but Feed Monster puts its own spin on pacing. Things feel just a touch more frantic—maybe because levels don’t always follow the same pattern. It’s interesting: every time I think I’ve figured out the monster patterns, they throw in something new or move unexpectedly fast for a second. Pretty tricky sometimes, honestly. People who love quick arcade challenges will probably click with it straight away. You get that old-school high score rush without having to memorize anything complicated—it’s easy to pick up after work or between classes. Not flashy graphically but just fun enough to keep pulling you back for one more round.

Honestly? I thought Feed Monster would just be another copycat maze game at first glance—I mean, we’ve all seen similar layouts before. But after playing for a while, I started enjoying how tight everything feels when those monsters start swarming in unexpectedly fast. There were times when I nearly tossed my phone trying to avoid them; maybe that says more about me than the game! The energizer moments are wild—you go from hunted to hunter in an instant. I do wish there was maybe a bit more variety in backgrounds or monster design though (they get kind of samey). Still, chasing high scores gets addictive fast even if you think you’re too old for this stuff now. So yeah, not perfect—but better than most quick maze games I’ve played lately.
