Description
So, Halloween Store Sort is a puzzle game with a bit of that late-night candy binge energy, you know? It’s not just another match-3—here, you drag little Halloweeny items between shelves, trying to line up sets of three identical goodies. The trick is, there’s usually only room for one item per spot, and if you’re not careful, you’ll box yourself in with nowhere left to place the last ghost plush or skull candle. Each level throws a new jumble at you, sometimes stacking toys above each other or tucking them slyly out of sight. You get a time limit too—sometimes it feels like it runs down faster than it should, actually—which means your brain’s working double speed as the shelves fill up.
There’s also a shuffle button if things go sideways. That part really matters, really.
The audience? Anyone who enjoys casual puzzles but wants just enough pressure to keep their fingers moving without stressing too much. It works well on short breaks or when you want something festive that isn’t just eye candy. After a few rounds it almost feels like organizing an actual messy holiday store—except without the real dust.
It keeps things moving; no two levels are quite the same length or shape. Reflecting on it… there’s more challenge here than meets the eye at first glance.

I spent about an hour with Halloween Store Sort—longer than I expected, actually—and at first I was sure it would be all fluff: drag pumpkin here, skeleton there, done. But after four or five levels I hit this weird pattern where my brain wanted to rush but my hands kept hesitating (especially when half the shelf space was blocked). The pressure from that timer gets under your skin after awhile; I sort of wish you could turn it off some days.
To be honest, sometimes I got stuck even after shuffling twice in a row and had to restart—I guess that’s both good and bad? Still, watching those crowded shelves finally clear out felt oddly satisfying.
It could use a bit more variety in music or maybe bonus objects now and then. But for what it is—a quick puzzle fix around Halloween—it works surprisingly well.
