Description
Sudoku Vault isn’t just another classic Sudoku app. Here, you get to switch between compact 4x4 grids and full-sized 9x9 boards—plus that in-between option, the 6x6, which honestly doesn’t show up in many other puzzle apps. It’s kind of refreshing. The game lets you pick from four levels of difficulty, so whether it’s your first time solving or you’re chasing expert mode clears for the hundredth time, there’s always something to dig into.
You can jot down little notes for cells (very useful when things start to get tricky) and there’s a big handy CHECK button if you ever want reassurance mid-puzzle—though maybe don’t rely on that too much unless you’re okay with it zapping away those wrong guesses! The interface? Clean and out of your way; nothing flashy but it actually helps keep your brain on track.
It’s interesting how fast the tempo can shift—from laid-back number play to suddenly realizing your brain is tangled in possible moves. Great for a coffee break or for winding down late at night, really. Not too stressful.
Actually, the mix of board sizes and difficulties keeps things pretty flexible—kids or adults who enjoy working through logical challenges will probably both find their groove here.
Editor's View
I started out thinking Sudoku Vault would be just like every other mobile sudoku clone out there—so many look identical at first glance. But then I saw the range of grid sizes available, especially that rare 6x6 option (which I kinda wish more games had). Jumping between easy puzzles and near-impossible ones on bigger boards adds some needed variety.
The interface is very minimalist—not distracting at all—which I appreciate most days. The note function works well when I remember to use it; though sometimes I did feel like the CHECK tool makes it almost too forgiving… sort of tempts you to guess instead of solve carefully. That part really matters, really.
Anyway, it doesn’t always deliver new features or themes that would set it miles apart—but if straightforward sudoku is what you want without fuss or clutter? Well, this does the job.
