Description

It’s hard not to know tic-tac-toe, right? Super Tris just tweaks what you remember and throws a little party with every match. You pick: Easy, Medium, or Hard—though Hard will humble you fast, to be honest. The board is basic at first glance, but the colors and the way animations pop add this low-key sense of fun that’s surprisingly satisfying. Games are quick—if you’re looking to fill a minute or two between tasks, it works well for that. Or maybe you’ll lose track of time because winning against the harder AI takes more tries than you’d expect. Actually unlocking those tougher opponents felt like an achievement… silly as that sounds for such a simple game. You’ll get visual rewards too; confetti when you win (a small touch but fun). The sound effects don’t overwhelm and the scoreboard keeps things competitive if you care about tracking progress. Kids can jump in easily. Adults might stick around longer than intended trying to outthink the AI on Hard; there’s no shame in losing here though—it happens. Super Tris is meant for anyone who enjoys games that don’t take themselves too seriously but still scratch that strategic itch now and then.

At first I figured it was just another tic-tac-toe app—I mean, how different could it be? But after a few rounds on Medium difficulty, I started paying more attention. There’s something oddly pleasant about the colorful layout and quick matches. It pulled me in more than expected. I do wish there were maybe some extra modes or multiplayer options since playing only against AI gets repetitive after enough games. Still, getting bested by the Hard difficulty made each win feel pretty satisfying—maybe I’m just competitive like that. Honestly though, if you want short bursts of distraction where your brain gets mildly challenged (and sometimes frustrated), this one does its job.
